  Tellurium tetrachloride with CAS registry number of 10026-07-0 is inorganic compound which is off-white to light yellow powder, also known as Telluric chloride ; Tellurium chloride ; Tellurium chloride, (T-4)- ; Tetrachlorotellurium . It is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents. When heated to decomposition, it yields Hydrogen chloride. It can be used in organic synthesis. It adds to alkenes to give Cl-C-C-TeCl3 derivatives, wherein the Te can be subsequently removed with sodium sulfide.
