Acid Red 13 is a kind of red to brownish red powder or particle. Belonging to the product category of dyes and pigments, it is usually used in food additives,colourant and color fixative. It is insoluble in water and difficultly soluble in ethanol.
The production method is as below: After the diazotization of aminonaphthol sulfonic acid, couple the diazo compound with the Schaffer's acid and refined, dry it. Then comes acid red 13.
