The 1-Methylamino-4-ethanolamino-anthraquinone with the cas number 2475-46-9. It is also called 1-(2-hydroxyethylamino)-4-(methylamino)anthracene-9,10-dione, which is also it's IUPAC name, and it's system Name are 9,10-Anthracenedione, 1,4-diamino-, N,N'-mixed 2-hydroxyethyl and Me derivs. It seems like Navy blue powder. It is soluble in ethanol, acetone, benzene, slightly soluble in carbon tetrachloride, insoluble in petroleum ether. It turn brown in concentrated sulfuric acid, turn darkred after diluted.
Preparation of 1-Methylamino-4-ethanolamino-anthraquinone: 1,4-Dihydroxy-9,10-anthracenedione and it's BLMB condensation with Monomethylamine and ethanolamine, then filtered, grinding, arefaction and commercialization, finally obtain the product.
Uses of 1-Methylamino-4-ethanolamino-anthraquinone: It can be applicable to dyeing and printing of Acetic acid fiber, Cellulose Triacetate and chinlon, also can be used for thermoplastic surface colouring. When used for dacron dyeing fastness, lifting force and light fastness is not good, so it is not used commonly.
When you are using this chemical, please be cautious about it as the following: 1-Methylamino-4-ethanolamino-anthraquinone may cause eye and skin irritation. In case of contact with eyes or skin, flush eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid. Besides, it may cause respiratory tract irritation and may be harmful if inhaled. If inhalation, remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid. Store in a cool, dry place. Store in a tightly closed container. As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. And Use water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, or chemical foam to put out fire.
