Specification: |
The polymer which made by Methacrylic acid, polymer with methy acrylate (25212-88-8) usually consists of a hydrophilic backbone with hydrophobic groups located at the ends of the polymer chain or distributed along the polymer backbone. Hence, when the polymer dissolves in water, clusters of hydrophobic domains are formed yielding a network structure. Such a structure induces a large increase in the solution viscosity, which gives rise to a viscous and often elastic and gel-like fluid. These associative polymers are good candidates for thickening agents in environmentally friendly coating applications.
