Timolol ,its cas register number is 26839-75-8. It also can be called Timoptol ; Timacar ; Timoptic ; Optimol and Blocadren . Timolol (CAS NO.26839-75-8) is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocker. The pharmacological mechanism by which it actually does this is still unknown.The most serious possible side effects include severe bronchospasms and cardiac arrhythmias. It also could lead to fainting, congestive heart failure, confusion, depression, impotence and worsening of Raynaud's syndrome.
