Preparation of C.I.Pigment Red 209: The diethyl succinate refluxs in caustic alcohol medium through ring formation to get hydroquinone dicarboxylate ethyl hydride. The condensation of hydroquinone dicarboxylate ethyl hydride and m-chloro aniline in ethanol and hydrochloric acid under nitrogen atmosphere gives the corresponding product which produce 3,10-dichloro-quinacridone crude pigment in poly phosphoric acid medium by closed-loop. Through handling, we can get the CI Pigment Red 209.
Uses of C.I.Pigment Red 209: It is mainly used for industrial coatings, especially automotive coatings. And it can also be used for polyolefin (mild size distortion) and ABS coloring.
