Arbaprostil , its cas register number is 55028-70-1. It also can be called (15R)-15-Methylprostaglandin E2 ; 5A,11alpha,13E,15R)-11,15-Dihydroxy-15-methyl-9-oxo-5,13-prostadiensaeure ; (E,Z)-(1R,2R,3R)-7-(3-Hydroxy-2-((3R)-(3-hydroxy-3-methyl-1-octenyl))-5-oxocyclopentyl)-5-heptenoic acid ; 15(R)-15-Methyl prostaglandin E2 ; Arbacet ; Arbaprostil ; and Arbaprostilo .
Arbaprostil (CAS NO.55028-70-1) is a synthetic prostaglandin E analog that protects the gastric mucosa, prevents ulceration, and promotes healing of peptic ulcers. The protective effect is independent of acid inhibition. It is also a potent inhibitor of pancreatic function and can inhibit the growth of experimental tumors.
