Preparation: this chemical can be prepared by 3,3,3-trifluoro-propene. This reaction will need reagent trichlorosilane and catalyst RhCl(PPh3)3. The reaction time is 36 hours with reaction temperature of 120 °C. The yield is about 75%.
Uses of Trichloro(3,3,3-trifluoropropyl)silane: it can be used to produce (3,3,3-Trifluorpropyl)-silan. It will need reagent LiAlH4 and solvent various solvent(s). The yield is about 90%.
