Dantrolene ,its cas register number is 7261-97-4. It also can be called Dantrium ; Hydantoin, 1-((5-(p-nitrophenyl)furfurylidene)amino)- ; and 2,4-Imidazolidinedione, 1-(((5-(4-nitrophenyl)-2-furanyl)methylene)amino)- . It gave positive results in animal high dose studies regarding mutagenicity and carcinogenity.And it depresses excitation-contraction coupling in skeletal muscle by binding to the ryanodine receptor, and decreasing intracellular calcium concentration. Dantrolene (CAS NO.7261-97-4) should not be given to breastfeeding mothers. |
