The Vetiver oil , with cas registry number of 8016-96-4, is also called Java vetiver oil ; Oil of vetiver ; Oils, vetiver ; Vetiver oil (Vetiveria zizanioides stapf) ; Vetiver oil distilled . As a chemical, this compound has a skin irritant. When heated to decomposition, it emits acrid smoke and irritating fumes.
Vetiver oil is drived from vetiver (Vetiveria zizanioides) roots by steam distillation. The yield is 2% ~ 5%. This product is used as food spice. According to its use, it belongs to the categories of Flavors & Fragrances.
